A Glimpse Into My World – Part IV

First of all, I want to say a huge thank you to everyone that comes to visit my little blog.  I’m amazed at how kind and supportive everyone has been with their comments.  This week my blog counter, in the less than 2 months, has reached 40,000 amazing!

Here is yet another little glimpse at my craft-room. This is how I store my punches.  They seem rather neglected of late.  I may have to get them out to play soon.

I use an over the door shoe holder that I purchased from Wal-mart.  Thrifty solution, I think.  I use to have them in drawers and would have to rummage through them to find the one I needed.  Now, thanks to the see through netting on the shoe holder, I can clearly see them.  I do need to reorganize them and put the small punches on the top and the largest on the bottom.  It would be easier to see the smaller ones that way, don’t you think?

This holder was also a good solution to use for me since I have very little wall space available.  The door is usually open and they are hidden away behind the door.

I would be interested and so would other readers as to how you store your punches.  So, please leave a comment and let us all know.  A link to a photo would even be better if you have it.

Have a super day!

Until tomorrow. . . . . . . .

Ribbon – A Glimpse Into My World – Part III

dsc02983.JPG

There is no rhyme or reason to my ribbon storage, but I find it functional.  Of course, I don’t have the collection of ribbon that some of you have!  You know who you are too, lol.

My ribbon is not sorted by color or kind it just finds itself on these wire racks that I got from Walmart 5 years ago.  They hang from the bottom shelf that my stamps are stored on.  I have four of them.

I should really sort it by color, but there are cards to be made and a blog to update.  Important stuff!

dsc02982.JPG

I could have at least straighten them up before share with you, lol.  I’m just keeping it real!

Now below is a picture of some of my ribbon by the yard.  I found these holders, also at Walmart, that have these cute little clips to keep the ribbon on them.  I just put a piece of ribbon through the holes and tie it to keep the group together.  Again, no rhyme or reason to color, etc.

So lets hear from you.  How do you keep your ribbon stored?  Leave a comment or even better yet a link in the comments section so we can check it out!

Have a colorful day!

Until tomorrow. . . . . . .

Searching for a Mirror Image Stamp

I used my Rubber Stampede Mirror Image Stamp, Item 247F in a tutorial and received e-mail/comments from a few of you looking for this stamp.  I got mine at Micheael’s 5 years ago, I have not seen one there for sometime.  A few of you have also done Internet searches and so have I looking for this stamp without any success.  I did find that two of them are listed on Ebay to end 3 and 4 days from now.  Maybe that is an option to getting this stamp.  Sorry I had no idea when I used it in my project it would be so hard to find.  I do love using mine and will probably use it in future tutorials, please forgive me!

If you have no idea what I am talking about here is a picture of the stamp.

As you can see mine is stained from use, but this has not effect on future images.

You can stamp on the mirror image stamp and then stamp the mirror image stamp on your paper and it gives, that’s right, a mirror image.

If anyone knows of a place that these can be purchased new, please share that information with us by commenting on this post.

The Search for the perfect White Gel Pen

dsc02631.JPG

I received an e-mail from Terri Honz “thonz on SCS”, she wanted to know what White Gel Pen I use.  Well Terri my current favorite is a White Gelly Roll Pen.  All it says on the side of it is Gelly Roll, Med, Sakura/Japan.  I picked it up at Michaels for around $2.00, if my feeble brain remembers right, lol.

I have purchased many white pens, most of them have clogged long before the ink was gone.  I have a really bad habit of using them on wet card-stock, over melted embossing powder, chalk, prismacolor pencils, etc., etc.

Stampin’ Up sells this other one shown in the picture above.  It’s a uni-ball Signo, medium point.  It is also a pretty good pen.

I heard through the grapevine Ranger is coming out with a fantastic white pen, I suppose I will have to buy it so I can report to you here my findings.  You enablers, sigh. . . . . .

Sorry for the short post today.  I’m working on projects for the fan club gallery on SCS which will be unveiled the 15th.  Yikes!  the 15th and it’s almost here.  Gotta go!

Have a fantastically creative day!

My Magical Brayer, NOT!

I get questions all the time about my brayer.  It’s a regular old Speedball brayer with a rubber roller, nothing magical about.  The roller, when new, was tan in color, but as you see it is stained black from lots and lots of use.  How do I get it to work so well for me?  Answer, lots and lots of use, lol.

I use Stampin’ Up – Stampin’ Mist and scrub pad to clean it after use.

So there it is the not so glamorous or magical Zindorf brayer, lol.
