Chillin’ In White – Stampin’ Up! Card

Hello Stampers,

Now about today’s beachy creation, when I think about the tropics I think about cool white linen for some reason.  Maybe I’m dreaming of Don Johnson back in the days of Miami Vice, hubba hubba, lol.

Anyhow, I love the new Subtle embossing folder which looks like a linen texture and I used it on my card base, and took this project even further by keeping my card front all white and embossed each panel with different embossing folders for great texture all over.   How cool does this look. . . . Love, Love, Love. . . . . .

Hello Stampers!

I cannot get enough of the Buffalo Check image for background layers these days.  I stamped the background panel today to match a flannel shirt I practically live in during the cold months.  I love the way it turned out so soft looking just like my soft flannel shirt.

I had fun creating my scene too, by using a couple of images from two different stamp sets, Waterfront and Seize the Day.  I know the Stampin’ Up! Holiday Catalog is in full swing right now but, don’t forget to check out the stamp sets in the large Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalog as well for your holiday crafting.  These two stamp sets are not classified as holiday stamp sets yet, make a wonderful Winter scene.  Great way to get even more use out of your stamp sets.

Diamond in the Forest

Hi there,

I’m chilling this morning while doing one of my favorite past times, stamping!

I love, love, love creating little scenes with ink, paper and stamps.  I start by picking a stamp set I want to use, which is hard because I pretty much own everything in the Stampin’ Up Catalog, lol.  So many stamps so little time. . . . .  Then I pick out a stamp from the set I want to be my main focus and then build a little scene for the image to be in.  Today I thought these little trees from the Waterfront stamp set needed some Northern Lights.

I put the whole scene on a diamond shape by turning the square card stock, easy but sure adds interest.
