You Have to Start Some Where. . . .

Hello Stampers,

I don’t have a card for today.  I took the day and my Sister, Sonja and I face timed each other and created our very first mixed media pieces together.  This is a great way to use up cut pieces of Designer Series Paper and another use for all those stamps we have.

Granted you need additional supplies and if you are like me, you probably already have them in a cubby some where in your craft room.

I know, my first mixed media journal page is not a masterpiece but, we had to start some where and we learned a lot and had some together time and fun even though she is across the country from me.

I had some of the retired Peaceful Poppies Designer Series Paper to use up, it’s peeking though in the background and the poppies were cut out of the same paper too.  I used the current Alphabet stamp set, Make a Difference for the sentiment.  Add Matte Medium, Mod Podge and Acrylic Paints and a big children’s book I altered to create a journal and WALLA!   This is my new journal cover.
