Hey There,
Happy Thursday Day! Of course, everyday is a happy day for me when I’m able to hang out in my stamp room creating a scene where Santa is enjoying himself in the snow. This is a cheerful Christmas card for sure. I teamed up the Stampin’ Up! stamp sets, Banner Christmas, Gorgeous Grunge and Tag it for this project.

On another note, I have the opportunity today to show you why I raise chickens. Not only are the cute, cute, cute but. . . . . ..
Sure, I could go to the store and pick up a dozen eggs, but I know the chickens that the eggs come from are not humanly treated, in my opinion. They get probably 1 square foot of space to live their lives. They are pumped full of antibiotics, have their beaks grinded off and they never get to free range. The egg on the left is what you tend to get from the store. They are by far not as rich as the eggs from my chickens.
Now the egg on the right is from my girl, Bunny. The yolk is orange, the whites are not runny and stand up, they are far more nutritious and OMG the flavor is rich and wonderful. There is nothing to compare them too. My girls eggs are this way because they are happy chickens that live happy lives, they have lots of room to run around in and they get to free range daily where they eat grass, weeds and lots of other natural stuff along with the best chicken feed.
One thing though, chickens are not machines and when they molt their egg production slows or even stops while they spend their energy on growing new feathers. So that is why I have some store bought eggs in my house. I did not plan well. I should have been freezing some eggs while they were really cranking them out during the warmer months.
So in a nutshell, you just can’t beat an egg from a happy chicken. Now, go get you some chickens! LOL Or find a local farm that has some happy chickens and get your eggs from them.
